Plainsman Steakhouse & Lounge offers a classic small-town steakhouse experience. The menu features a variety of options, including the chicken fried chicken, which is served with mashed potatoes and breading, and the Philly sandwich. The prime rib is cooked to perfection and has a flavorful black pepper crust. The salad and soup bar is a highlight, and the sides buffet offers many options. Service is generally good, but may be slow during peak hours. Overall, the restaurant provides a welcoming atmosphere and is worth a visit, but be prepared for potential delays.

Plainview Klown Doll Museum has CLOWNS. Or, rather, Klowns. Thousands of them. Surrounding you from every side, smiling those huge, exaggerated smiles and bearing their terrifyingly huge feet.

The annual KlownDays Festival with a home-town Klown Karnival, barbecue, fireworks and other fun stuff, mostly free, is on the first Saturday of June with some activity the previous Friday evening.
