Dannebrog is a village in Howard County, Nebraska, established in 1871 by Danish immigrants who had come from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The railroad reached the town in 1886, spurring further growth. Its name, "Dannebrog," is Danish for the flag of Denmark, reflecting the community's heritage — the village is known today as "The Danish Capital of Nebraska."

The 2020 census recorded 273 residents. Columbia Hall, built in 1908, now serves as the Dannebrog Archives and Tourist Center. The village gained national attention through CBS Sunday Morning segments featuring longtime resident and author Roger Welsch.
