Millerton is an unincorporated community in Butler County, Nebraska, in eastern Nebraska. Like several of the county's smallest historic settlements, Millerton has no formal population count today, having faded from a small postal community into a quiet rural crossroads.

History

Millerton was named for William P. Miller, a pioneer settler in the area. A post office was established there in 1888 and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1934, after which the community's role as a local hub gradually diminished as rural mail routes and improved roads took over.
