Pickrell Nebraska 68422

Pickrell was originally sited under the name "Austin" before being relocated and laid out under its current name in 1884 when the railroad arrived; the village was formally incorporated in 1913. It is named for William Pickrell, one of the original townsite owners, and has an unusually high population density for its very small footprint.
