Frank Cunningham built the 86-room Wheat Growers Hotel at 102 S. Oak St. in Kimball in 1918–19, when wheat farming was booming on the high plains. It closed in 1982 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The building is privately owned; view it from the street.
