This marker, erected by the Rushville Centennial Committee and the city, stands on the "Wall of History" in Main Street Park at US 20 and South Main Street in Rushville. It tells how the settlement of Rush Valley began in 1884 about 2 miles north, how the merchants moved when the railroad missed it in 1885, and how the town was incorporated on October 9, 1885.
