History Nebraska marker No. 563, erected in 2020 by the Keya Paha County Agricultural Society and History Nebraska, stands at the fairground entrance on Norden Road, 0.3 mile south of NE 12 at Norden. It tells how the first county fair was held in September 1898, how the barn dance became its center, and how the Norden Dance Hall, approved in 1929 and built by Fred Taylor, held its first dance on May 6, 1932.
