Custer County’s first courthouse is the log ranch house Milo F. Young built in 1876, which served as the temporary county seat from 1877 until Broken Bow won the seat in 1883; hearings in the Olive–Fisher case were held there in December 1880. In 1933 the Young estate gave it to the village, and it was moved to Morgan Park, Pacific Street and Cameron Avenue in Callaway. It was listed on the National Register in 1990, and state marker No. 134 stands beside it. The Seven Valleys Historical Society looks after it.
