Stratton is a village in southwestern Nebraska's Hitchcock County. It emerged around 1881 as a depot on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad and was named for Mary Stratton, an original owner of the town site.

The 2020 census recorded 310 residents, continuing a slow decline from 343 in 2010 and 396 in 2000; the village has an notably older population, with a median age of 52.5 in 2010 and roughly a third of residents 65 or older. Notable natives include singer Rita Bell (1893-1992), NFL player Jim Lankas, and longtime football coach George Sauer.
