About Glen
Glen is a small unincorporated community on the Pine Ridge in eastern Sioux County, south of US 20 about 10 miles west-southwest of Crawford and 16 miles east-southeast of Harrison. A few residents remain.
History
Glen was named for the surrounding glen and had a post office from 1887 to 1953. Its one-room Glen School closed in the spring of 2006 after 120 years, with two pupils in its last year. Beside the old school is the small Scandinavian Lutheran Cemetery. Fort Robinson State Park and the Peterson Wildlife Management Area are a few miles north along US 20.
