Shippee is an unincorporated community in Red Willow County, in southwestern Nebraska. The 1925 reference work Nebraska Place Names records it as a station on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy railroad, named for Leonard Shippee, a local resident and property owner.
A post office operated at Shippee from 1913 until it was discontinued in 1933. Beyond the railroad station, the post office and the name, almost nothing about the place is documented in published sources; it has no village government and no separate census figure. It lies in Red Willow County, whose seat is McCook and whose southern boundary is the Kansas state line.
