White Nebraska
White, Nebraska
White was a hamlet and post office in Hayes County, named in honour of Arthur White, an early homesteader.
History
The office was established on 29 December 1904 and discontinued in 1939, which makes it one of the longer lived of the county’s small offices. A 1925 account notes that Mr White was by then living in Oregon. No census figure was ever published for it.
Both standard references call it a town or hamlet, but neither records where in the county it stood.
