Strickland was a post office in the northwestern part of Hayes County, nineteen miles from Hayes Center, in Deerfield precinct.

History

The office was established on 16 August 1887 and discontinued on 31 May 1926, which gave it a working life of nearly forty years. W. J. Jackson was postmaster at the time of the 1890 gazetteer. It was probably named for a local settler.
