Smith Falls State Park

Smith Falls State Park is home to Nebraska's tallest waterfall, Smith Falls, which plunges 63 feet into the Niobrara National Scenic River. Located in Cherry County along the scenic Niobrara River canyon, the park is accessible by a pedestrian suspension bridge from the main parking area. The trail to the falls winds through lush canyon vegetation fed by springs from the canyon walls. The park is a popular stop for canoeists and kayakers floating the Niobrara River. Primitive camping is available. A Nebraska State Park Entry Permit is required.
