Skylark Meats, LLC

Skylark Meats closed on 25 August 2026, with 218 people losing their jobs. The plant at 4430 S. 110th Street in Omaha did further processing — cut steaks, liver and marinated meats — in a 215,000 square foot building, and was owned by American Foods Group of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Workers were directed to other American Foods Group sites, including the one at Gibbon. It was the second Nebraska meat plant to close in 2026, after the Tyson beef plant at Lexington in January.
