Rebecca Winters Memorial Park — Scottsbluff

Rebecca Winters Memorial Park is along US Highway 26 about 2 miles east of Scottsbluff. It holds the grave of Latter-day Saint pioneer Rebecca Winters, who died of cholera August 15, 1852 on the Mormon Trail; the grave was first marked with an iron wagon tire inscribed 'Rebecca Winters, Age 50'. It was moved slightly from beside the railroad tracks in 1995, and the memorial park was dedicated in June 1996; a Nebraska State Historical Marker stands on site.
