Platte County Driver License Office

The Platte County Driver License Office is run by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles at Courthouse, 2610 14th St, Columbus. It is open every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and on the following Wednesdays only:, 8:15 - 4:30. Drive tests are not given between 11:40 AM and 1:00 PM, or after 4:00 PM. CDL skills tests are given at this office by appointment; ring 402-471-7983 to arrange one. Business handled here includes new, renewal and replacement driver's licenses, state ID cards, learner's permits, school and farm permits, and written knowledge and drive tests. Vehicle titles and registration are a separate matter, handled by the Platte County Treasurer at 2610 14 th Street, telephone 402-563-4913 - not at this office.
