The Naomi Institute opened in 1870 in a brick schoolhouse at Rock Bluff, about 4 miles east-northeast of Murray, and closed within about three years; the building later served as the Rock Bluff School. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The Cass County Historical Society owns it and opens it at an annual July open house and by appointment; call the museum in Plattsmouth, 402-296-4770.
