The Missouri National Recreational River Resource and Education Center is inside Ponca State Park, at the end of Spur 26E north of Ponca. It opened in 1999 and was developed by Nebraska Game and Parks with the Army Corps of Engineers, the National Park Service and the Better Ponca Foundation. Exhibits cover the Missouri River and its wildlife.

Open Monday–Saturday 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 1–5 p.m., with longer summer hours. A Nebraska park entry permit is required. Park phone: 402-755-2284.
