Midwest Electric Cooperative Corporation

Midwest Electric Cooperative Corporation is one of Nebraska’s rural public power districts, run from 1st and Washington Ave. in Grant in Perkins County. It supplies farms, acreages and small communities outside the town-owned systems. Nebraska is the only state where every electricity customer is served by a publicly owned utility, so there are no investor-owned power companies here.
