Logan County Fair & Rodeo

The Logan County Fair and Rodeo is held at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Highway 83 at Stapleton, running from late July into the first days of August. The rodeo is the identity of this fair rather than the midway: two days billed as Nebraska’s Biggest Little Rodeo, with ranch team sorting, team roping, miniature pony races, a wild horse race, mutton bustin’ and a ranch rodeo. Alongside it are 4-H and open class exhibits, livestock and small animal shows, a Saturday parade down main street, a pork breakfast and a free Chamber barbecue. The fair traces to 1912, when the first Harvest Festival and Frontier Sports was held over three days that September.
