This Lincoln store serves Lincoln, Lancaster County. Hy-Vee was founded in 1930 at Beaconsfield, Iowa by Charles Hyde and David Vredenburg, and is employee-owned - the staff on the floor are shareholders, which is where the company's helpful-smile-in-every-aisle line comes from. It runs around 550 stores across eight midwestern states from headquarters at West Des Moines. A full Hy-Vee is a good deal more than a grocery: full-service bakery, delicatessen, butchery and seafood counters, a large produce department, floral, a pharmacy, prepared meals and in most stores a dietitian on staff who will advise for free. Online ordering with pickup or delivery is available.
