Henningsen Foods – Norfolk

Henningsen Foods makes powdered and dried meat at 402 North Third Street in Norfolk, in Madison County — beef, chicken, turkey, pork, ham, fish and organ meats, more than 250 products in all, used in ramen, gravy and soup mixes and in pet food. The plant runs two spray dryers and two pan dryers. The business began in Norfolk in 1889 and was bought by Michael Foods in 2020; the building dates from 1919, when it was the Norfolk Poultry Company. Plant tours are available by request.
