Hayes Center Village Office

Hayes Center Village Office is the municipal office for Hayes Center, Nebraska, at 405 Troth Street. Hayes Center is the county seat of Hayes County, population 224, one of the smallest county seats in Nebraska. It has held the county seat since 1885 and takes its name from its position near the geographic centre of the county. The village board meets on Tuesdays at 7:00. The Hayes County Courthouse and county offices are located in the village, making it the administrative centre for a large stretch of ranch and farm country in southwest Nebraska. Hayes Center is also the city of licence for KWNB, an ABC-affiliated television satellite station.
