Greek Islands at 3821 Center St. opened in 1983 at 35th and Center, started by brothers Bill and George Sgourakis and their wives, and moved a few blocks west to its current home in 1994. Known for gyros and traditional Greek dishes served in a large dining room with Greek murals, it is often called Omaha's best Greek restaurant.
