The Evergreen Independent Cottages are the independent living apartments at the east end of the Evergreen, on Jeanette Way. They are part of the same connected building as the Evergreen Assisted Living Residence, which fronts Highway 281 on the other side, and they share its telephone.

Independent living suits residents who want their own apartment and their own front door, with the assisted living wing, the dining room and the rest of the building's amenities under the same roof should they be needed later.
