Elkhorn Rural Public Power District

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District is one of Nebraska’s rural public power districts, run from 206 North 4th Street in Battle Creek in Madison County. It supplies farms, acreages and small communities outside the town-owned systems. Nebraska is the only state where every electricity customer is served by a publicly owned utility, so there are no investor-owned power companies here. The district answers to a board elected by its own customers rather than to shareholders. Billing and outage calls go to 402-675-2185. Mail goes to Box #310.
