The Edgerton Explorit Center is a hands-on science center in Aurora named for Dr. Harold Edgerton (1903-1990), the Aurora native and longtime MIT professor who invented the electronic strobe flash and pioneered high-speed stop-motion photography.
The center's "Explorit Zone" features roughly 35 interactive science exhibits for visitors of all ages, along with a lower-level "Discover-It Zone," classes, and community science events.
