Doane Owl is a newspaper published at Crete, Saline County. It is the student newspaper of Doane University. A hometown newspaper is the running record of a community — city council and school board decisions, high school sports, obituaries, land transfers and the legal notices a town is required to publish — and it is where local businesses reach the households around them.
