Description

Diamond Springs, about a mile west of I-80 exit 117 near Brule, was a stage station on the Overland route from 1859 and a Pony Express station in 1860–61; it was abandoned after raids in August 1865. Nothing stands above ground, but the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, and markers (1932 and 2021) stand on US 30 west of Brule.
