The Cheyenne County Fair and Rodeo is held at 10955 US Highway 30 in Sidney over about eight days from mid to late July. It carries a sanctioned PRCA rodeo and WPRA barrel race rather than a local rodeo, and closes with a demolition derby that includes lawn mower races. In between come a truck and tractor pull, a monster truck bash, a rock tribute show, a country concert and a carnival, with 4-H events running across all eight days. Fair board meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month at the fairgrounds office and are open to the public.
