The Chase County Fair and Expo is held at 560 Park Street in Imperial in the second week of August, running about a full week, and bills itself as Western Nebraska’s Grandest Fair. The music program is substantial for the region, and the week also carries a 5K fun run, a parade, a carnival with a mega ride pass, 4-H livestock shows, horse events, dairy exhibitions, fashion showcases, a hot dog feed, a barbecue, ice cream socials and children’s workshops.
