Description

The Cambridge State Aid Bridge carries NE 47 over the Republican River about 0.6 mile south of Cambridge. Designed by the State Engineer's office and built by the Lincoln Construction Co., it opened in November 1914 at a cost of $22,406, half paid by the state: five reinforced-concrete filled-spandrel arches, 312 feet long. A truss span added in 1939 was removed in 1964, when the arches were widened. It was listed on the National Register in 1992 and still carries traffic.
