Calamus Golf & Recreation Club lies about seven miles north-west of Burwell in Garfield County, a mile below the Calamus Reservoir dam and immediately east of the Calamus State Recreation Area.
The course runs to 2,845 yards, with watered bluegrass fairways, bentgrass greens, grass bunkers and two ponds. The rough is native vegetation. The ground rolls on the eastern side and flattens toward the west.
The season runs from 1 April to 1 November. The clubhouse serves food and refreshments on weekday afternoons and all day at weekends, and can be hired.
