Brown County Driver License Office

The Brown County Driver License Office is run by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles at 148 W 4th St, Ainsworth. It is open every Friday, 8:00 - 12:00, 1:00 - 4:45. Drive tests are not given between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM, or after 4:15 PM. CDL skills tests are not given here. Business handled here includes new, renewal and replacement driver's licenses, state ID cards, learner's permits, school and farm permits, and written knowledge and drive tests. Vehicle titles and registration are a separate matter, handled by the Brown County Treasurer at 148 West 4th Street, P.O. Box 25, telephone 402-387-2650 - not at this office.
