Black Elk–Neihardt Park, established in 1975 on the bluffs at the former Dana College campus in Blair, covers 80 acres on the highest ground in town. Its Tower of the Four Winds, designed by Dana professor F. W. Thomsen, honors the Lakota holy man Black Elk and poet John G. Neihardt. The park has trails, disc golf and a shelter, and is part of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum.
