Bartlett Village Office

Bartlett Village Office is the municipal office for Bartlett, Nebraska, and receives mail at PO Box 103, Bartlett, NE 68622. Bartlett is the county seat of Wheeler County, population 109, and one of only two incorporated municipalities in the county, the other being Ericson. The village was founded in the 1880s and named for Ezra Bartlett Mitchell, the original owner of the town site. It sits on the Cedar River in north-central Nebraska, on the eastern edge of the Sandhills. The Wheeler County Courthouse is located in the village and is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. Wheeler County is among Nebraska's least populous counties, and Bartlett is one of the smallest county seats in the state.
