Banner County Historical Day is held in Harrisburg on the first Saturday in June. A typical day starts with pancakes at the fire hall and a fun run, followed by a 10:30 a.m. parade, an FFA lunch at the school, quilts at the Flowerfield church and a talk at the Banner County Museum, an ice cream social and barbecue cook-off at the picnic shelter, and the Historical Society supper. The steam tractor in the museum's machine shed is fired up for the day.
