The Antelope County Fair is held at the fairgrounds on Highway 275 on the eastern edge of Neligh from late July into the first days of August, with some competitive events starting earlier in the week. The demolition derby is the headline draw rather than a sideshow: 2026 marked its 50th year and it carried a purse of 15,500 dollars, unusually large for a Nebraska county fair. Two nights of extreme bull riding run in front of the grandstands at Riverside Park, alongside Ag Olympics, team penning, Outlaw truck and tractor pulls, a tractor parade, a carnival and midway, and dog, cat, horse, dairy, swine, poultry, beef and rabbit shows. Be aware the fair’s own website has been left years out of date; local newspapers carry the current schedule.
