Albion City Hall

Albion City Hall is the municipal office for Albion, Nebraska, at 420 West Market Street. Albion is the county seat of Boone County, population 1,699. Platted 1872 by Loran Clark, county seat 1873; the name was settled by a game of euchre. City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer's office keeps city records and bookkeeping. City Hall issues non-resident sales permits, dog licenses, ATV/UTV/golf-car registrations, telecommunications right-of-way permits and handles records requests. City motto 'Come love where you live.' Notable natives: Francis P. Matthews, US Secretary of the Navy, and Governor William A. Poynter. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
