About Pine Ridge
Pine Ridge was a rural post office in southwestern Dawes County, about 13 miles south-southwest of Crawford and 10 miles west-northwest of Marsland, in the high country south of the Pine Ridge escarpment.
History
The Pine Ridge post office, named for the escarpment, served ranch families from 1911 to 1945, the years when Kinkaid homesteaders settled much of the county. It was off the railroads; the Burlington ran about 7 miles east. Nothing is known to remain.
