Lorenzo Nebraska

Lorenzo is an unincorporated community and Census-designated place in southern Cheyenne County, on Nebraska Highway 19 about 10 miles southwest of Sidney and just a few miles north of the Colorado border.

Lorenzo grew up as a depot on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad, with a post office operating from 1916 to 1933. Though it's more thoroughly documented statistically than many of its neighboring communities — the 2020 Census counted 36 residents across its 6.84 square miles — the origin of its name has not been definitively confirmed.
