Howard County's calendar includes one of Nebraska's most established rodeos in St. Paul and a Danish heritage festival in Dannebrog.

St. Paul Rodeo

St. Paul — Early July, around the Fourth of July. A professional rodeo running for more than 89 years and consistently ranked among the top PRCA rodeos in the country, with an associated parade.

Grundlovsfest

Dannebrog — Early June, near June 5 (Danish Constitution Day). A community festival celebrating Dannebrog's Danish heritage, with Danish food and cultural activities; the event has run for more than 30 years.

Howard County Fair

St. Paul — Late July. A traditional county fair with 4-H exhibits, livestock, and fairground events.

Nebraska's Junk Jaunt

Dannebrog — Fourth full weekend of September. Dannebrog is an official stop on this multi-town regional garage-sale route across Loup Valley towns.
