The Daughters of the American Revolution placed this marker in 1932 on US 20 about 1.3 miles west of downtown Crawford, at the site of the Red Cloud Agency, which moved to the White River in 1873. Camp Robinson, later Fort Robinson, was set up beside it in 1874.
