The two-story Burlington depot built at Danbury in 1888 was saved from demolition in the late 1970s, moved to 306 Grandville Ave. and restored in 1982 and 2008. It keeps the ticket office, the agent's upstairs living quarters and the original stove, with train models, yearbooks and photos from former area schools, a military room and a corner for Bess Furman Armstrong, the Danbury-born Associated Press reporter. It is traditionally open on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day; arrange other visits through the museum's Facebook page.
