Highland, Nebraska

Highland was a post office in the southeastern part of Hayes County, eight miles east of Hayes Center.

History

The office was established on 26 April 1888 and discontinued on 15 May 1903. It was named for its high elevation. No population figure was published for it.

Hayes County also had a Highridge precinct, the site of the Rain post office. The two names are separate and should not be confused.
