Bee was established in 1887 when the Chicago and North Western Railroad expanded to the area, and takes its name from its location in “B Township.”
Nicknamed the “Honey of a Town,” Bee had a 2020 population of 171 and is home to the dodecagonal States Ballroom, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
