Nuckolls County's two best-known annual gatherings are the county fair and rodeo in Nelson and the Victorian Festival in Superior, a town noted for its 19th-century architecture.
Nuckolls County Fair & Rodeo
Nelson — Early to mid-July. Held at the Nuckolls County Fairgrounds, the fair includes a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo along with 4-H and livestock exhibits; the fair passed its 150th year in 2025.
Victorian Festival
Superior — Late May. A long-running community festival celebrating Superior's Victorian-era architecture and history, with a parade and related activities.
