Norfolk’s Legendary July 4th Celebration
Big Bang Boom is Nebraska’s largest fireworks show, held every July 3–4 at Skyview Lake in Norfolk. What began 50 years ago as a community celebration has grown into a two-day festival drawing up to 100,000 visitors for the main event. Admission is always free.
2026 — 50th Anniversary & America 250
2026 marks two milestones: the 50th anniversary of Big Bang Boom and the 250th birthday of the United States. The 2026 show features double the fireworks of previous years and the dedication of Norfolk Freedom Point — a new memorial at Skyview Lake with a 122-foot flagpole.
