Valentine Rodeo

Rodeo at Valentine runs as part of the Cherry County Fair and Rodeo, held at the Cherry County Fairgrounds, 120 South Green Street, in early August. Two nights of rodeo sit alongside Ranch Bronc Riding and a Ranch Rodeo, which is what you would expect in the middle of the Sandhills, plus a Thursday evening parade on Main Street, a demolition derby, open class competition and the 4-H hall. Admission has run free for under-fives up to about ten dollars for adults. Rodeo stock is supplied by Phillips Rodeo Company. The Cherry County Agricultural Society, which runs it, meets the second Monday of each month. There is no separately branded Valentine rodeo outside fair week.
